| CHECKING |
| Your
checking account with ATL Credit Union has no minimum balance, no
monthly or per check fees and comes with three valuable overdraft
protection options. Harland Clarke provides guaranteed quality checks with
quick shipping. Add a debit card, direct deposit and CU*EasyPay and you've
got a winning combination of savings and convenience. You can check your
balance, transfer funds and monitor your cleared checks 24/7 using our Audio
Response or It's Me 247 online. |
| MASTERMONEY
DEBIT CARD |
| 10/17/07:
MasterCard has recently revised the requirements for cardholder dispute
claims. Effective immediately,
cardholders must contact the merchant prior to initiating a dispute and
the cardholder’s documentation must set forth the result of the
conversation with the merchant. If the cardholder cannot
contact the merchant, the cardholder must explain what attempt was made.
For example: left voice mail, sent e-mail message or letter. This
information is vital to preserving possible chargeback rights as
documented in Section 3.23.2.7 of the chargeback guide.
Members of ATL CU may use the link to the form above to help in
documenting their contact with merchants. |
| OVERDRAFT
PROTECTION |
| Have
you ever made a mistake in your checkbook that cost you an arm and a leg?
With an ATL Credit Union checking account, you may select up to four
additional accounts to protect yourself from overdrafts. You may opt to
have money transferred from your savings or another checking account if
you inadvertently overdraw your checking account. And this service is
free! Be sure to ask for it when you open your new account! |
| OVERDRAFT
PROTECTION LINE OF CREDIT |
| Do
you need additional protection from outrageous overdraft fees? Consider
adding an Overdraft Protection Line of Credit. Credit limits range
from $300 to $1,000. Advances are made automatically to cover
checks, direct debits, ATM withdrawals or debit card transactions. You pay
it back in low monthly payments or you may choose to pay it off in
full. The interest you pay amounts to a fraction of the cost of even one
overdraft fee, not to mention the embarrassment of bouncing a check.
Subject to credit approval. |
| COURTESY
PAY |
| Members
in good standing at ATL Credit Union may qualify for Courtesy Pay.
Courtesy Pay allows the credit union to honor a check or debit
transaction, even if there aren't enough funds on deposit. Used wisely, this
product will save you from the embarrassment of a bounced check, or a
declined debit card transaction. The fee for this service is exactly the
same as our Non-sufficient funds fee, so any cost savings will be realized
by not being charged a fee by the party attempting to cash your check.
This is a great way to make sure you never bounce an important payment.
However, for free-spirited debit card users who don't keep track of their
purchases, Courtesy Pay could be very costly, therefore, you may opt
out of this program at any time. Why not call and talk to one of our
friendly member service representatives? They will tell you if you are
enrolled in Courtesy Pay and how it may be helping or hindering your
journey to financial fitness. |
